Chosen Solution I have a late 2009 21.5 inch iMac. The backlight flickers after a lot of use, and sometimes it just doesn’t work at all. The bottom half of the screen is yellower than the top half. I think that this may have something to do with the computer overheating, because I have vacuumed out a bunch of dust from the bottom of the iMac, and it works better for a bit, before the backlight starts flickering again....

Chosen Solution the volume button is stuck, its not constantly but fairly frequently. i tried several things to get it unstuck, but i turned it off and safe mode is on and i can´t get it off. Try cleaning it with a qtip and alcohol, it sounds like it’s got sticky in there.

Like some laptops, you might get it going again by pulling the power from the wall, holding the power button in for 45 secs., then plugging it in and turning on again. It may take a few tries. Hi @labourer35 It seems that the problem is very visible from the image that you posted If possible try a different signal source just to make absolutely sure and if it is still there it looks like it is in the monitor. So I suggest that you get it repaired/replaced as per the manufacturer’s warranty instructions. That’s what warranties are for. ;-)
