Chosen Solution I have been having a shifting problem with my trans when in drive with overdrive on, when i’m in drive without overdrive i have 0 problems, when my TH700R4 gos to switch gears it is grinding, vibrating and no longer accelerating. i have no idea why this only happens when in overdrive but not in basic drive. Chosen Solution Hello, my Late 2011 MBP randomly shuts down with no warning. I have tried leaving it plugged in and it still shuts off. Sometimes it shuts off after a few seconds of using the laptop and other times it could be up to an hour befor it turns itself off. There arnt any artifacts or strange glitches on the screen. Chosen Solution I reinstalled windows 10 after wiping my hard drive, but now the F3 function key that is supposed to initiate airplane mode no longer functions. I have tried reinstalling the drivers and it did not fix the problem. Update the functionkey drivers from the website.
Chosen Solution When accelerating at slow speeds, I hear a clicking sound coming from under the hood. When I take my foot off the gas, the clicking sound ends and my check oil light goes on and off. It really doesnt follow any particular pattern. @canderson68 make sure that you do have enough oil in your engine and change your oilfilter as well as your oil. It is possible that you have a bad pressure switch but start with the easy things first....

You should be hearing a gentle whirring noise accompanied by periodic clicking. This is normal. You may hear it clicking when you’re loading a program, or while you’re downloading a large file. If you’re hearing some constant, harsh grinding and clicking (louder than what it was in the past), the hard drive could be fixing to die....

If neither light is illuminating, then no power is reaching the LEDs or the LEDs have burned out. What could be problem and how can I get it fixed. If the battery light is blinking, check the charger status in BIOS for “unknown” - that indicates a sense line issue. The reason you want to check is Dell DOES design their notebooks to block charging if it says “unknown” so do not assume it’s beyond repair - it is often a bad sense IC in the adapter or a poor quality knockoff....
