Chosen Solution MacBook 2016 display was taken over by lines and then completely obscured. Hi @etranger, Your issue is a faulty LCD return flex. Dust & debris gets under the flexes to the screen and in time cause pitting of the data lines. The answer is a replacement screen. To prevent it from happening would recommend an artist paint brush to gently clean along the bottom of the screen baffle once a week or so....

Any ideas what the problem is, the tv is only 3+ years old? freespirit8534 could be an issue with the power board as well as the backlight array. Measure the output voltage to the backlight (connector P801)and let us know how many volts you get and if they are consistant. If the pictures only flashes it is most likely the backlight array that has failed....
Chosen Solution I got out my old Wii that worked fine for the longest time with no issue, one day I go to turn it one, and the picture displayed is very dim and hard to see but there is still one. I know it is not the tv or the power cable as my grandparent’s Wii still works perfectly and theirs still works fine with my cables and on my tv....

Most likely it is to cool your CPU or other components of your laptop. Do you know if the heat is coming near the battery, or more towards the screen?
