Chosen Solution I do not know the model number of the monitors being used. Just selected a samsung for purposes of this question. Initially Laptop 1 worked with monitors at home and in the office. Experienced Laptop 1 randomly shutting down in office periodically and then more frequently but never at home. Note Laptop 1 has battery charging issues. Laptop 2 works with monitors in the office with no problems. Tried two different types of docking stations....

Take out the three screws holding the plastic top half of the drive, and take off the top half, mindful of the spindle that will fall off....

Hi Shelembe Try pressing and holding up to 10-15 seconds both the power and home buttons at the same time. If the Apple logo is on or flashing this should turn it off. Chosen Solution It works perfectly and sometimes it suddenly dies. I tried opening it up and replaced the glass and also put the LCD into another ipad and it works all the time. No luck. Sometimes pressing on the glass near the connector brings it back to life. Nothing visible on the board near the connectors, when inspected at 100X. When you say " it dies" do you mean that the LCD goes blank but there is still activity (sound) occurring?...

If you took things out of your Mac to clean it, you may have forgotten to reconnect something during reassembly.
