Chosen Solution I have the power cord plugged in and my computer will turn on but when I take it out, the computer shuts off. remove the battery and wait for life 2 min . plug it back and restart the computer . make sure you wait for like 5 min once you plugged in . just sit back check the power cord and wire . checkout this article for any other steps -fix laptop which is not charging while plugged ....

Chosen Solution Battery light shows laptop is fully charged, when I press power, power light turns on too, but the screen remains black and the laptop isn’t starting, just the little light is on. Bryan Chen remove your AC adapter, the battery and the memory modules. Hold the power button for about 15-30sec. Then reapply the AC adapter only. Try to turn it on. If it does start replace the parts one after the other, not all at once....

Chosen Solution I have a Macbook Pro mid-2009 13 inch that won’t start. I had my local Apple dealer assess it and they said the logic board is toast. They did not provide details on what components on the board were fried. How can I test it at home to verify this assessment and maybe get a little more specific? I live in BC, Canada. Chosen Solution why does the screen say card is locked? There is normally a small physical switch on the side of an SD card. Move the SD card either up or down, one is lock (prevent adding photos) or unlocked (allow saving photos). It could be when you put in the sd card it may accidentally slide the switch into the lock position.
