Chosen Solution Screen has popped open in a section left side of phone tried putting pressure no difference AH!! dont push! you will need to get a tool kit(pentalobe) , remove the two bottom screws and reinsert the tabs on the inside of the screen into the frame! push any harder and you will damage the LCD. if your battery isnt charging i would check the charge port OR battery. maybe even the cord you are using

Chosen Solution I replaced the front display on the iphone 5 and now the front camera appears as black and actually locks up the rear camera and causes it to display sideways. I also noticed the compass is going haywire and will not stop spinning. Are these two issues related? Yes they can be. If the compass IC is damaged it can cause issues with the front camera flex. Or it could be a case of using the incorrect magnetized screw in the standoff next to the compass IC, and a separate issue with the front camera....

In a darkened room and the TV on a channel where you do hear sound, shine a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen. See if you can make out shapes or silhouettes. If so, it’s your backlight. Possibly a failed backlight strip or possibly the power board....
