All of a sudden, the screen turned into boxes of mulit colored pixels and black. What happened to it? How do I fix this? Connect it to an external monitor. If the image in the external monitor is showing same weird stuff, your vga propably got damaged, so you will need to repair it to a local store....

I would bring the system into an Apple authorized service center to have them check out the system. You could have a bad heatsink. I would also get a good thermal monitoring app like TG Pro it will give you insight into whats happening in your systems temps and its cooling....

If it does it could be the power adapter or that your phone is drawing to high an amperage to charge the battery. If your charger is working properly get a USB Ammeter and see what your phone draws....

Now here’s the strange part: I press the power button, it turns off and then it will not boot again unless I unplug and plug the battery back in. In that case, I don’t even need to press the power button - after plugging in the battery, it will power on by itself....

Chosen Solution I have refurbished a few iPod Classics previously and added an SDXC card and have just replaced the battery with like for like, in order to keep the thin rear case. Generally these batteries would then last for over 40 hours on a single charge. However recently I have found aftermarket batteries are not providing any more than 25 hours. If your phone is under warranty, send it back to where you get it. Otherwise you should go to a repair shop ask for a help. Your screen is a “packet” with many layers of tech, haha easy explained, the crack might be tiny, but if it is deep enough it will damage the digitizer or lcd, or just simply the whole thing, but as you refer for, is the touch defective....

Chosen Solution Hi, several times a day when I try to wake up my iPhone, it takes around 5 seconds to respond, no matter how many times I press the home or power button. Also, when I plug it in it will sometimes take 5 seconds to respond to the charger. I haven’t been able to figure out a pattern of why it happens (eg.
