When installing a new hard drive with a stick-on thermal sensor, where does the end of the sensor cable attach to the motherboard if there is no HDD TEMP port? The EMC 2309 27” iMac I’m fixing does not have one at the top of the board where most pictures show it.

The 2011 model uses the SATA power connections instead of a direct logic board connection along the top edge the Late 2009 uses which is why you can’t locate it. On the back side of the logic board is where the connection is, even still you don’t access it here.
