Hello, I’m just having problems with my iPhone 3G. Can anyone tell me what the Wi-Fi antenna looks like, or help me with a picture of it? How can I replace it? Thank you, and thank God there is a website like this!
Hi, the antenna looks like this and [ http://n1.to/5150|this|new_window=true]. If you don’t want to buy it here at iFixit, you can find it on http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sk… Oh… one more thing: you can see where and how the antenna is mounted in this video at 04:06.
The repair guide on this site called “gps antenna” does not handle the wifi. i just disconnected this antenna, and only the gps was not working. wifi was still working fine, without this antenna. so the wifi antenna must be somewhere else. but where? i think this antenna http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sk… handles the 3g and the wifi. does someone knows it for sure?
My iPhone 3G does not have WiFi, but it has GPS and Bluetooth… so it is not the antenna…what could be the problem ?
Hi, Did anyone solve this Iphone problem? My iphone 3g 8gb 4.01 can see the wifi networks but can only connect for a few seconds? I use wefi and it continually try’s to connect. I have a router with no security, does it have to have a special setup to allow Iphones? ie G or 801.11?? I don’t understand how the problem can be hardware when it finds the networks but won’t connect. I have it jailbroken and do not have a working sim {used one to get it started} do most iphone switch continually from G to wifi when the wifi stops? I am thinking about going back to just apple and unjailbroken but then would not be able to jailbreak again if I don’t get internet service. I had to lay the iphone on a bed of ice the last time just to get connection long enough to jailbreak. Bill
I you got the answer. can you forward me please
The repair guide on this site called “GPS Antenna” That antenna handles gps, wifi and bluetooth from what I’ve gathered.
