We cannot find out where under the hood of our 2012 Tahoe this wiring is suppose to be. This has got to be one of the most STUPID things Chevrolet has ever done. When you call a dealership they tell you they will have to do a diagnostic first on it that will cost $115.00 then they will hook it up and I’m sure that will be at least another $100.00 to $150.00 when it should have just been already done. We just purchased this from a small new dealership and they don’t know because they haven’t had any Tahoe’s before.
Wiring harness are normally connected behind the tail lights. There should be interior panels that you remove to access it, or you may have to remove the tail lights. The wiring harness is connected with snap connectors - they cut through the insulation when you snap them shut - this is what makes the connection to wires but is also self sealing and insulating.
