Where does sim card go

No Sim card on cdma phone…n817 is a cdma phone

There are 2 types of cellphone technology: CDMA and GSM. GSM uses a SIM card on phone carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, Rogers, etc. CDMA cannot take SIM cards and relies on an ESN number inside the phone. Carriers such as Sprint, Verizon, Boost Mobile, etc. use CDMA. You cannot switch between GSM and CDMA carriers on this phone. Here is the manual for the phone. https://zte-iqorsupport.custhelp.com/ci/… IF it is a CDMA, there is no SIM slot. If it is a UTMS/GSM/LTE, the SIM slot is above the battery.

The Sim-card is located inside the ZTEN817 Turn your device off prior to opening (from the bottom), once open one can then insert the sim card in the slot provided just above the battery. To install one must first remove the battery. That’s it!

Underneath the battery. ZTE confirm use of sim card in this phone.

This phone does not take SIM cards.

This phone don’t have this.

I’ll try again. Please read S W’s answer, as it was the correct one. Alex Cruz’s answer is incorrect - GSM is shown in the normal specs for the N817 - but the Lifeline version does NOT have GSM as the government doesn’t want people putting a SIM into a free phone to effectively steal it. If you follow Jo Anne’s instructions and find a SIM card slot, you have the regular N817. If you don’t, you have the other version, used for Lifeline phones. If you research it, you’ll find out it’s true.
