Hi, I want to upgrade my 128Gb SSD but there is a black protection tape over it. I’d like to use a new tape when I replace my old SSD with the new 1T SSD… I saw that the original tape is a multi layer one. So what do you think ? which tape should I use ? polymide ? Thanks.

Polymide tape should be fine. If your careful you can lift off and reuse the original tape. It helps protect the connections under it.
