Hi everyone! I have a Macbook Pro and want to replace the battery. I added my serial number to here https://checkcoverage.apple.com/ and it told me that I had a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016). I checked back through my emails and saw that I purchased it on the 10th January 2016, so early. I’m not sure which of these 2 batteries I need to buy: MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Mid 2015) Battery or MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar Late 2016 Battery Replacement Also, if it is the mid-2015 battery, will I be able to use this tutorial: MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar Late 2016 Battery Replacement Any help would be appreciated!

I would reference the About This Mac menu choice as it will offer a better source for your model info. If you have a TouchBar model then you need the MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Late 2016-2017) BatteryIf you have the older 2015 system which was still being sold in January then you need this battery MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Mid 2015) Battery (it doesn’t offer the TouchBar). These are very different batteries! Reference the correct guide on how to replace it.
