Hi Guys, great work in iFixit, i really like your teardown. Can you tell me which GPS Chip is used ? I try to find out if the galaxy nexus can use Glonass. Second question is bluetooth related, i read everywhere that Nexus has Bluetooth 3.0 but the BT Chip has Bluetooth 4.0. What do you think about this ? regards Thomas
If you look at the huge image of Step 12, in the upper right-hand corner, you can see that the GPS chipset is SiRF’s GSD4t. The GSD4t is GPS only and therefore cannot use Glonass.
