While Hard Resetting Says My Device Won T Allow It Help Samsung Galaxy Note 8 0

My question is what do the other options mean on the android menu Apply update from ADB? Apply update from external storage? Wipe cache partition? Apply update from cache? When I select the wipe data/factory reset option, it tells me MDM does not allow factory reset Phone will restart now and nothing resets or erases!why? Please help
