Ran dishwasher and all dishes were filthy. Soap pod disbursed but didn’t dissolve. Went to run again and realized water is at bottom. Checked screen, sensor and drain at the bottom and found nothing. Checked both ends of drain pipe and both were clear. Tried running again and there is a clicking noise, I believe when it want to drain. However, if I hold the start button for 3 second to initiate drain function it drains fine. Due to Coronavirus no repair companies are able to come out. Is there something else I can try? Thank you.
Hi, Check to see if the dishwasher’s spray arms are rotating. Align both the arms in a position that you can remember and then start the dishwasher. When it has filled and starts to wash allow it to “wash” for a minute and then open the door (watch for any water coming out) and check if both the arms have moved position. If not it may be a circulation pump problem. If only the bottom arm has moved check the tube from the pump up to the upper spray arm. Also check that the spray arm holes are not obstructed. Here’s a link that may help.
