Context: We had the power plug to this dishwasher loose and continues to disconnect from the wall outlet during mid cycle. This used to just power off the dishwasher and upon reconnecting it, it just drains the water. Seems to have happened few times before these light indicators for cycles started to malfunction. We now have fixed the wall plug problem but the lights problem continues to remain. Problem: Among the 4 lights under “Cycles’, only “heavy’ and “1hr wash” appear to lit up and the ‘normal” and “soak & clean” won’t lit. Even with this, we used to continue to operate the dishwasher using “1hr wash” and seems to have worked fine for couple of weeks. Now, even with choosing the same “1hr wash”, the dishes won’t clean at all and the soap tablet gets dumped at the end of the cycle or remains undissolved (the dispenser opens though). So, I replaced the control board and the sad part is that the replacement part doesn’t fully function as well where ‘soak and clean” is the only cycle light that gets lit up using this. The problem with uncleaned dishes remains. The washer still runs and gets the water and performs the cycle and drains at the end. But, nothing happens inside even when testing with mildly greased plate and cup. Checked water temperature (125), cleaned filter and no clogs when draining water. The water sprayer fans and their nozzles also appear to be clean. I even performed the reset with clicking three buttons in a row within 3 seconds and the cycle lights won’t turn on expect “soak and clean” with the replaced control board. The control panel have no wire connections from control board and the it may not be the problem for this model. Question is, I’m not sure if the control board is the problem for not cleaning the dishes at all even with only “soak and clean” cycle led on OR there are more problems to be figured out related to circulation pump etc? Appreciate any help or pointers to troubleshoot.

Hi, I realize that the displays aren’t working correctly but try running the diagnostics as per the Tech sheetand see if there are any error codes that show up and make some sense. Also check that the replacement control board part number is W10804115 (part #8 Control panel and latch parts Diagram) as shown in the parts list for the dishwasher from this supplier Hopefully this is of some help.

The pump pumps water from the tub thru the spray heads. If the dispenser opens and does not empty, then no water is being sprayed because the pump isn’t working or there is a blockage. I had one with a bad impeller. The pump motor was running but the impeller did not pump.
