Brand: Whirlpool Model Number: WDF750SAYM The dishwasher would not wash under most circumstances. The water fills up and is drained properly, but the wash cycle would only work when drying is set to “Eco” mode. Washing (when drying is set to Eco) works for both 1 hour wash and normal wash. What I’ve already tried: turn off power for a while, then back onDiagnostics returns 7-1, also returns 8-1 intermittentlyI’ve cleaned the spray arms and drain components, they’re working fine Wet dishes aren’t great, it would be great to get this working under “Heated” drying mode. Got any ideas on things to try? Thanks.
Hi @londonbao , A 7-1 error code is a heater or heater circuit problem. Disconnect the power from the dishwasher and check the resistance (between 8Ω and 30Ω) of the dishwasher heater element, part #1 heater parts diagram. If the heater element is OK you will have to check the heater element’s power supply circuit as shown in the tech sheet for the dishwasher. It also lists all the diagnostic fault codes and their likely causes. The supplier linked above was only to show the the location of the part and how much it may cost. There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Just search for WDF750SAYM0 parts to get results
