I have a Whirlpool Duet washer, model WFW9150WW01 and it will turn on, the door will lock but it will not do anything else. I pulled the MCU which had a large burn mark on the circuit board and replaced it with a used MCU. Did I get a bad MCU? Can I test it to make sure that isn’t the problem? Am I missing something?
Hi @the_whaler A burn mark on the MCU could indicate a problem with the motor, burning out something on the board before it also failed. Might depend on where it is and if it was a component what function it performed on the board - input side, output side? Here’s the tech sheet for the washer that may help. (Don’t be misled by the title on the tech sheet i.e. Maytag, it is also the same one for your model i.e. W10252711) See p.2 for the Won’t start cycle troubleshooting guide and p.7 for the motor resistance test procedure. It also shows how to run the diagnostics for the machine. Hopefully this is of some help.
