The motor makes a humming noise upon starting any drying cycle. I’ve taken the thing apart and noticed that the motor spins normally after I manually rotate the shaft clockwise (with little effort). Here’s a short clip of what I meant.

Hi @B Y As you say it may be the motor. Here’s the wiring diagram for the model that shows what the resistance values of the motor are. Unfortunately that’s not much help as it’s hard to know whether it’s the motor’s start or main winding or the integrated centrifugal switch that is the problem. See the long explanation about this above in the Most Helpful Answer ;-) You probably don’t need this but here’s a link to the motor part, which has a video that shows how to replace it. The supplier in the link is an example only for the video and the possible cost of a replacement as usually rewinding a motor isn’t a DIY repair. Search online for 279827 to get results for suppliers that suit you best.
