When started, I can hear water running. Then it will start washing for a second, then completely stops. Sits for a second then it repeats. Doesn’t use the soap in the dispenser Update (08/06/2021) I have also replaced the circulation pump and drain pump. Do I need a new wash pump?

Hi @beerman4401 , What is the model number of the dishwasher? Circulation pump and wash pump are usually terms used for the same pump. The water is being “circulated” to “wash” the dishes Check that the spray arms are rotating by placing both of them in a remembered position e.g. both facing front to back or side to side and then starting the dishwasher. After it has filled and started to wash open the door and check if they have both moved. If they haven’t, check that the holes in both the spray arms are clean and unobstructed. It is the force of the water being pumped through the spray arms that causes them to rotate. Also check behind the kickplate (toeplate?) of the dishwasher as sometimes the tech sheet is located there, taped up in a plastic sleeve. This shows how to get into the diagnostic modes and how to test all the functions of the dishwasher and what the possible causes of any error codes that show up may mean.
