Chosen Solution
This is a very new problem, I have been searching the internet high and low for weeks now and there is not solution for this. My washing machine will fill with water, agitate, then as it reaches the rinse portion of the cycle it pauses for 20 seconds (as it should), then it begins its drain cycle for about 1 second(just enough to spit out a glass of water) then it just stops dead. If i proceed to put the dryer on “low spin” it will empty out. I have replaced the timer switch, I have replaced the lid switch, I have replaced the pump and checked the drain lines(which obviously are not clogged as the dryer will continue to drain in “low spin”, I have ensured proper operation of the pressure switch. I can only think there may be some sort of overload that is tripping out but this one has me completely stumped and this is a brand new issue to the appliance repair forum community.
Hi @jhoesing , Don’t know the answer but since you have already checked/replaced the most obvious components, it may be worthwhile to purchase the service manual and see if that helps to isolate what the problem is.
