Whirlpool model LSQ9010PW3 top loading washer is leaking all over the floor without any of the water going into the laundry basket. I checked the hoses attached from the water taps to the washer, and they are not leaking. This only happens when it tries to fill. When it isn’t filling, it doesn’t leak.
Hi, Check the connections on the water inlet valves and the break hose connection from the valves to the water inlet siphon (part #18, 22 & 24) With regard to the valves, try turning off a water supply tap one at a time, either hot or cold and running a wash cycle only as far as filling the machine i.e. either a hot wash or a cold wash and check if the leak is still there. If it occurs on both, the valves are OK but it may be the hose connection or hose etc. If only on hot or cold it may be the individual valve on the output side when it is opened to allow the water in. If a part is faulty, scroll down and click on the part in the list to find the manufacturer’s part number for the part e.g. break hose Whirlpool part #WP8317926. Then search online using the manufacturer’s part number only to get results for suppliers that suit you best. There are also some videos associated with the parts in the first link that show how to replace them which may also help.
