I have a Whirlpool Upright Freezer, model WZF34X16DW00, when I plug it in, there is power, the light comes on but the freezer compressor or fan will not start. When I pick a temperature setting (There are three led light settings) it will stay solid on one setting for about a minute and then just flash continuously between the three settings.
Hi @marking12 , Is the compressor making a humming sound trying to start? If not check that the compressor start relay - part #19 unit parts is OK.
It is possible that there is a connection with the refrigerator sensors after the first switch-on, and this pauses the freedge’s main board. In any case, User Guide for this model on https://www.fridgemanuals.com/whirlpool/… on the page #9 says to wait 24 hours after turning it on before adjusting the fridge temperature.
