Hello, I am trying to save a S9, my company doesen’t need it (no warranty). If I plug the phone I get a white circle with lightning icon, nothing change after an hour. Bought another battery, nothing changed. The phone turns on by itself, if not plugged. Phone vibrates, Samsung Galaxy logo appears and nothing happens. No signs of burned, missing or water damaged components.

I have laboratory power Supply, microscope, multi meter and experience with notebook repair. Can you suggest me any diagnostic steps?

If the phone does not boot with a known good battery, it is likely a motherboard issue. If you’re experienced with microsoldering it may be worth the effort, otherwise I would invest in a new phone or send it off to a professional! Also, just to be sure, I would disconnect the power button cable and try booting it up. Sometimes a faulty cable will cause boot issues.

I held down power button and then pressed volume up button and phone came back to normal.
