Chosen Solution
I have an old iPod 4th generation that hasn’t been touched for quite a while. It has a white screen and a broken/stuck home button. There are thousands of photos that are very important to me and id love to somehow get them on my computer, however because the screen is white and a hard reset is not working I cannot seem to get my iPod to “trust” my computer and gain access to my photos. Is there a solution Im missing? Would buying a new screen help?
Are you comfortable with opening an iPod? If so, you may try reseating the lcd cable. If that doesnt work, try another screen. I have experienced the white screen several times with a loose lcd cable. That’s why I suggest to try and reseat it first.
