Battery replacement: When we installed the battery and phone is turned on all works, but when pressing on screen above battery connector distortion occurs. I believe the ribbon cable connecting to the battery to the phone will not sit properly. we followed directions explicitly. thanks for your help,
There may be more slack in the exact position of the battery than the ribbon allows for, so if you stuck the battery in and then tried reattaching the battery connector, the ribbon may have been under strain. Try taking the battery out again and ensure the battery connector is precisely positioned over the socket before sticking it back to the double sided tape.
