In the past the machine did a zigzag stitch with no problem. Now it will not do so. Is there something that might have happened that keep the settings from being correct?
Hi, it sounds like your zigzag mechanism has some old sticky oil deposits on it that may be preventing it from zigging and zagging! Set the machine dial for maximum zigzag, take off the left side needle bar/bulb cover, take the needle bar in your hand & try to move it from side to side - spray some release oil onto the mechanisms and continue trying to move from side to side while rotating the hand wheel. Hopefully this should free up the zigzag.
