My clothes always feel warm when removing them from the washer. I have felt the water coming into the washer on the cold setting and it feels hot. So I turned it to hot thinking the hoses were switched and it felt cold but as soon as I close the lid to the washer you can hear the water change and if you quick open it back up the water feels hot again. What could cause this?
Is this a brand new hookup? Is there a chance that the plumber ran two hot lines to the washer (unlikely). Check the manual to see if it says anything. My Maytag washer can do warm or cold wash and then warm or cold rinse as well. There might be more than one temperature setting depending on the type of cycle. For example if it is set to “whites” a lot of time that is warm or hot water. Try a darks setting if there is one.
