Sim cards are not storage devices. Their purpose is basically to identify your phone to your carrier as a device that is allowed to access the network. You’re thinking of an SD card. Many people get these confused, understandably. Your phone does have a slot for one of those as well. Is there a card in that slot? If so then you are correct, you should be able to transfer files to it
