So I bought a new screen for my A1784 iPhone 7 Plus and as I proceed to take the backplate and the earpiece flex, I move on to the home button and as I’m taking it off I noticed that I couldn’t take it off and I was very confused as to why I could remove it, so I look it up and it turned out that I ordered the wrong screen for my iPhone model, and you’re probably saying “ well if you know what’s wrong then get the right screen for your model” but actually I have no idea how to take the home button off my previous screen. If you would like to please email me and we could have a conversation there. Email: cgenwright48@gmail.com
You need to unscrew the plate which holds the button down. Once you have taken the plate off, you need to be very careful and peel the cable away from the casing, but be very careful as the cable is very delicate. Once you take the cable away from the casing, the button can be pushed out of the front of the screen.
