E1 flashes on the display & the shutter count won’t go up when I take pictures
An E1 error on the display is indicative of a failure of the ribbon cable that connects the PCB to the camera lens. When zooming the ribbon cable flexes and can fail after excessive use. The cable can be replaced, if you can find on to buy.
