Hello! I got my mbp today and I haven’t charged it yet. I was looking at the specs and the charge count was 1. Now, after using it on battery and not yet charging it for the first time, the count went up to 2. I didn’t charge it so I do not understand how this happened. is this normal? Also, the only thing I plugged into the mbp is an usb C adapter hub so I can connect my printer. No charging was involved. What seems to be the issue? It should not be counting charge cycles from hubs, right?
If you plugged in the charger it would go into a charging state. The depth of the discharge will dictate if SMC counts the charge a cycle. When you drop below 25% of charge you will likely kick a cycle count.
