I just bought a new battery and the tools to replace it from ifixit and that went ok but I lost the function of the ringer mute and volume buttons on the side of the phone. Is there something in the battery replacement process (everything seemed to go without a problem) that could cause this?
Hi Joseph, I would verify that all connections are being made correctly. Try disconnecting the battery, power draining the device by holding the Sleep/Wake button down for 5 seconds, check LCD, and Audio cable connections, and then reconnect the battery. Check to make sure that the flex was not damaged during the process by either heat or knicked by a pry tool. I hope this helps you out. Best of luck, Alec
