Hello, I have a G11 canon digital camera and I received a memory card error with my previous SD memory card, so I bought a new one thinking it was broken. The new SD memory card gets the same message of memory card error. I wanted to format it, but the formatting option in the menu cannot be used (visible, put can’t press on it). Any ideas what I can try or what is wrong?
you can usually pop the card in another device, see if it works there, computers or there are these photo-print stations in many stores like drugstores or electronics stores. had a similar issue with CF card when somebody didn’t insert it properly. the reading pins in the slot were not straight anymore. had to in a painstaking way adjust them with knife and tiny screw driver
