@dougger sound and no picture is usually an issue with the main board. Make sure that you check all the inputs. disconnect everything from your TV (surrounds sound etc.) then just plug in one input (HDMI, Composite, Coax etc) and see what you get. If you have the same issue then you want to unplug your set and take the back cover off. Check all your cables to ensure they are properly seated and not tore. Then check all your boards. Look for obviously damaged looking components like domed or leaking caps. Post some images of all of your boards so we can see what you see. My tip: double check the 3 white yellow and red video and audio cables to see if they are mixed up or plugged in. Ive had this problem when plugging in a TV to a console. It may not work, but its a tip :)
