I have an 05 Pontiac Grand Prix with 3.8 series 3 V-6 engine. I washed it and it started spitting n sputtering bogging down, I barely made it home. What would cause this? Is it the fuel filter, where is the fuel filter
Oil….Check and make sure it is not clumped up… Water could have also gotten into your engine….
As oil levels and quality is important to the viability to engine performance, I don’t believe that is the cause of this issue. Sounds like a fuel/spark issue. It could be as simple as a loose spark plug wire or as serious as a timing chain skipping a tooth due to a chain guide malfunction. Check the basics first, check connections, coils to spark plug wires, wires to plugs etc.
