After installing my new ifixit battery, the laptop keeps randomly shutting down. I have read that this is a known issue with some of your batteries for this model.
Some tips! If the machine is able to stay on long enough for you to do so, check the Console logs to see if there are any meaningful crash reports that can help you isolate the issue. Also, download coconutBattery to check the health of the battery. Additionally you can run a diagnostic test by holding down the “D“ key on startup. If you haven’t already, you may also want to reset the SMC and PRAM. Another thing you can do is disconnect the battery and use the machine for a while just connected to a power adapter to see if the crashes are independent of the battery. These are just a few things you can try to resolve or isolate the issue.
