I recently got a new Koorui Monitor (which isn’t listed on the device list above), it was relatively cheap as monitors go, but all reviews were good. However, the problem I face two days into using it is that it reads “no signal” if I connect it to my laptop when my laptop is already up and running. Other searches have said that it could be an HDMI wire issue, but I have tried two of very good cords and they have not posed a problem with any other device they are compatible with, so I know that it’s the monitor. Is there a setting I could adjust on the monitor or PC to make sure it doesn’t do this? Is this a hardware issue with the monitor that isn’t fixable? I would really prefer to not have to turn off my PC every time I need to use my monitor, it closes all my tabs is very inconvenient. Depending on what kind of issue this is, should I just send it back and buy something else? Or is this just something all monitors do when connected to laptops?
There’s usually a key along the top row with a monitor icon on it. That usually switches between displays. Sometimes you have to press it with the function button.
