I just charged the battery but when I turn it on, it turns off after 2-3 seconds.
mjragarcia most common issue for that is a stuck lens. Your camera will turn off if the lens does not fully extend etc. Check on here and let us know what you find. Use this guide Canon PowerShot SD 600 Lens and Motor Assmebly Replacement to start working on it.
