2002 Hyundai Accent 1.5 L, 4 cyl. Manual Transmission The issue started with taking an extra few seconds to turn over completely and start and ended with not being able to start at all. It would try and try as long as you turn the key over but no full start up. I changed all 4 spark plugs, it reluctantly started and I drove it about 10 miles to my house. Then again this morning as I try to leave, same problem. Wont start. Starter had been replaced 1.5-2 years ago. Alternator 3 years prior. Battery is only 2 years old. Any answers appreciated!
What does your new spark plug look like now, is it all black, do you know how to test for spark with the spark plug out of the cylinder, you need a helper to turn the key. I will assume you have coil on your spark plug, take a plug out, put it into the coil, ground the threaded portion of your spark plug to metal on the engine, start with the key and see if you have spark easily or sometimes or not at all, we need more information please, is your check engine light on when you are driving before??
