There is no power even after charging

Hi @pjb20 , Whoever told you that there are no replacement parts was wrong, unless they meant that they weren’t available but the parts that I checked out of interest just to see if they were available or not e.g. battery, touchpad, IR sensor board, fan/heat sink to name just some, showed as being available by more than one supplier Here’s the maintenance and service guide for the laptop, taken from this webpage (click on Manuals) It details all the necessary pre -requisite steps and then the procedures to remove most of the components from the laptop. Also in each section detailing the removal procedure of a particular part there is the HP part number for the part. There is also a parts list (see p.14 onwards). If you have a faulty part then searching by using the required part number only in the search term, will usually get results for suppliers of the part. With regards to the problem that you’re having I don’t know the answer because I don’t know how Chrome OS works but have found this link which may help.

Perhaps the backlight on the screen has gone out. Connect it to an external video monitor to see if the laptop is outputting video.
