Chosen Solution
Just recently my Xbox 360 slim has started flashing the red dot of death and the fan will kick on really high then the console will turn off. I have blown the dust out and put in a new fan but my problem remains the same. I am just wondering if there are any suggestions on how to fix it.
Just a few questions, has the console ever been RGH’ed? There are a few possibilities if so. Did you remove the heat sink at all and use an x-clmap tool while removing your x-clamps or a flat head screwdriver? If you just replaced the fan, we could have a knocked component somewhere.
