Chosen Solution
I log onto my laptop it shows the dell logo then after a few seconds it says preparing automatic repair.. Then it goes to a black screen & just stays there. F2 doesn open up & f8+shift+power doesn’t fix it..taking out te battery doesn’t fix it & turning it on ad off doesn’t fix it either. With the f8+shift+power button is shows 1 error & it’s the hard drive 0… Can someone help me with this?
@chrisc15 could be caused by a failed hard drive. Access your BIOS and set the boot record to either optical drive or USB drive and get a boot disk you can use. Something like Puppy Linux Live CD should work. If that gets you access to your computer you know you have a failed drive.
