I recently took my xbox apart because of a sibling getting a disk stuck. apon fixing it the disc drive now makes a weird ding sound and refuses to take the disc in (not a normal ding you would hear from the xbox). Does anyone know how to fix this?
You probably disassembled the drive in loaded state and did not restore it to unloaded state before reassembling it. The mechanisms are designed to be easily put together in unloaded state only, trying to assemble it in loaded state will easily cause the mechanism to misalign.
