My Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer only prints black. I have installed new ink cartridges and the ink monitor shows that ink is being used from all six cartridges, but the output is only black. How can I correct this problem?
So this might be a settings confusion. There are actually two separate settings for black and white and color printing settings. The first is when you are in the print dialog itself. The second is under the Printer Properties, this setting will overwrite what other selection is made. It may be set to grayscale. This setting is handy if you do not have all the colors but still need to print and have black or want to use a composite of the other colors to make black.
