I bought my stand up oscillating fan brand new and it’ll get louder all of a sudden, then quiet (normal) again. I thought it was because it was oscillating but I turned it off and it still gets louder.
@dana6574. Dana, A new fan should not be doing this. That may be a sign of a faulty bearing/motor. Return it for exchange/refund. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.
You should clean your fan once a week. It makes a huge difference.
