Why Does My Fire Remote Turn On Both My Element And Fire Tvs Television

So I just bought a fire TV mounted it to the wall next to my element TV which is not a fire device. After I got it mounted plugged in Hit the power button and it turns on both TVs how do I get my element TV to stop turning on with the fire TV remote?

The TV is possibly being controlled through the HDMI-CEC standard. It can be disabled on the Fire TV device under Settings -> Display & Sounds -> HDMI CEC controls.
