Hisense tv back light turns on but no display or sound. i have tried replacing the tcon board but not sure what’s wrong. Tv did have a green side down the left hand side of the tv but now there is no picture at all. i have ordered a main board to see if that helps. Any advice on the half green screen would be appreciated.
@alisterd first off give us the complete model number for your TV. Then give us more information about the “Tv did have a green side down the left hand side “ since this can very well be a bad panel. Commonly so, since you have backlight it “could” be a bad main board. You do want to try all video input sources separately and see if that makes a difference.
I know this is an old post but I just fixed the same model by replacing the eeprom that is located on the tab bond board. I figured it was worth a shot since I had a ton of these TV’s, mostly broken screens, and I save the old tab bond boards. I will go through the boards that I have and set up a listing on ebay if you can still use this fix. I used a 450 degree solder station heat gun and it went surprisingly well.
