i recently changed an iphone 7 screen and the home button won’t work/press and go into password screen after me pressing, the connectors dont seem to be damaged but i might be wrong as i don’t have a microscope, should i buy another replacement screen/ home button or is there another fix??
Is the home button the “native” home button to the phone? Is there any signs of damage to the button? any drop damage? If the flex cable on the button itself is damaged it’s very difficult to repair, practically impossible without a microscope, I’d recommend going to a reputable micro soldering repair shop if this is the case. There are now several replacement home buttons available for the iphone 7, most of them require pairing with bluetooth to work. If using a replacement home button it should be noted that Touch ID will never work.
